DAVID T. ENNIS, Founder and Principal

David T. Ennis began his real estate career in the early 90’s as a residential leasing broker and property manager in Miami, Florida. Following his New York roots, he moved back in 1993 and joined a local fast-growing development company, Blumenfeld Development Group as a financial analyst. As a key member of the acquisitions team he became a Director of Acquisitions, overseeing one million square feet of commercial office and retail acquisitions and development during his eight-year tenure.

In 2001, David formed the Daten Group LLC to capitalize on what he saw as tremendous buying opportunities. To-date, all deals that Daten has bought or consulted on, have met or exceeded the original financial expectations. David has worked on a wide-range of real estate projects including portfolio office acquisition; retail development; office redevelopment and residential ground-up development. He is involved in several notable charities and real estate organizations and is a member of Entrepreneur’s Organization (EO) NY Chapter. He is a 1990 graduate of the University of Miami’s Business School with a BA in Finance and a minor in Real Estate. David resides in the New York area with his wife and two children.

CRAIG ROSENMAN, Director of Acquisitions

Craig began his career as the Principal of L2R Creative in 1999, a new media and branding company. He sold the company in 2002 and joined his family business, Stuyvesant Fuel Service Corp.  As a Director of Sales and Terminal Operations, Craig played a key role in Stuyvesant’s growth into the second largest distributor of heating oil and natural gas in the New York metropolitan area. In 2008, he was part of the team that strategically sold Stuyvesant to their largest competitor, The Hess Corporation.

In 2009, Craig joined The Daten Group to help leverage his expertise in buying and selling companies to grow the portfolio.  One of his first endeavors was the formation of The Daten Group’s first real estate fund (CAD1).  Under Craig’s direction, CAD1 focuses on purchasing and developing undervalued assets in the NY metropolitan market. Craig has been instrumental in the development of 72 Poplar, 1462 2nd Avenue, 840 Fulton and the White Plains Portfolio.  In 2012, Craig received a Masters in Real Estate Development at New York University’s Shack Institute. In 1999 he graduated NYU with a BFA in Film and a minor in computer science. Craig currently resides in Brooklyn with his wife and two children.

Courtney Stephenson, Chief Financial Officer

Courtney graduated from Virginia Tech’s Pamplin School of Business with degrees in Finance and Accounting. After moving to New York City, he began classes at NYU Schack Institute of Real Estate where he developed financial modeling skills to project and track costs and schedules.

Courtney joined Mascia Development in 2010, focused on student housing development, where he further grew his financial modeling and presentation skills. The following year, he moved to The Daten Group and is now the CFO. He currently resides in the East Village, New York City.
